Apple launches new 12" MacBooks with Intel Skylake CPUs, rose gold color & longer battery life

New MacBook Pro, still MIA, along with new Mac Minis, Mac Pros, Cinema displays, etc.

Apple's 13" MacBook Air gets 8GB RAM as standard

Unlike its smaller sibling, the MacBook Air did not receive a Skylake update. It continues to ship with a previous-gen Core i5, which buyers can swap out for a 2.2-gigahertz Core i7 if required.

Without a processor bump, the end of the road may be near for the MacBook Air. What was once Apple's best-selling laptop has been usurped in portability by the MacBook and still has no Retina display, putting it in a somewhat awkward position in Apple's Mac lineup.

Sounds like a record label to me

Apple working to promote Apple Music with superstar "family," album-like approach

Speaking of record labels, watch Vinyl on HBO.

Vinyl is a thinly disguised story about Roulette Records and it's Mafia takeover in the 70's, with flashbacks to the 60's in order to show how the Mafia had infiltrated the Music Business.

Sunday night in the season finale, they finally dropped Tommy James' name, who co-wrote the book, Me, the Mob, and the Music, a book about his career.

They ended the season Sunday night with the Mafia moving into the fictional American Century label offices in Manhattan's Brill building.
