Consumer Reports was using an unauthorized version of the MacOS Beta software and had a setting checked that was draining the battery.  They didn't call Apple. They just wrote a bad review based solely on their own error and negligence.

How may millions of dollars in damage did CR cause Apple by their incompetence, tens of millions, hundreds of millions or more?

Will the correction get the same kind of coverage as the mistaken erroneous article?

Never: Like a grain of sand on a beach, that's the kind of coverage it will get.

Apple says battery inconsistency was caused by a hidden Safari setting for developers which turns off the browser cache. The setting is not used by customers.





Rather, "After Apple set them straight!"
