'This would be bad for America,' Tim Cook tells ABC News about creating iPhone backdoor

Tim Cook: FBI is asking Apple to create 'software equivalent of cancer'

In a lengthy interview with ABC News anchor David Muir, Apple CEO Tim Cook reiterated that the repercussions of complying with FBI requests to build an iOS backdoor don't end with one smartphone, but instead have implications that ripple far beyond to hundreds of millions of iOS device owners.

The US government has this backwards.

To keep America safe: The best thing the White House could do for security is to switch over every government server, computer, and mobile device to OSX running on Apple products, because every other platform and device is more vulnerable.

The NSA and other agencies have proven this for themselves!

How stupid can they be?

Yes, I know.

About Bill Gates siding with the FBI against Apple

There is a lot for Gates to gain by siding with the FBI, NSA or any other Federal Agency vs Apple.
MS keeps their government contracts, selling the Feds billions of dollars of software.
Apple has been eating Microsoft's lunch of late, and has now moved into Enterprise solutions.
Gates has a lot of personal money as well as company money to spread around Washington DC.
MS has had sweetheart deals with the US government and other world governments, making MS a lot of money.
Every time a government needs tech support, Microsoft makes another bundle fixing their own software.
And it could be why all of this bluster about iPhone encryption occurred in the first place, similar to the way Jeff Bezos spread money around DC and Book publishers all of a sudden bailed on their iBooks deals with Apple and passed on testifying against Bezos and Amazon, the real monopolist.
