Before Bruce Springsteen, John Cooper was the sound man for The Faith Band from Indianapolis in the late 70s. I first worked with him in 1979 and 80 when ruffcutt opened shows for Faith at a college. John is a super nice, calm, cool and collected guy. I always thought he had good ears and was a great mixer.  He has been with Bruce Springsteen for quite awhile now.

I hired John to mix house sound for the Way Past Midnight album tour dates for Henry Lee Summer in 1991 when we opened for .38 Special and headlined our own summer tour including Deer Creek Amphitheater (Klipsch Music Center) in Indianapolis. We also opened for Prince at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds that year and opened a few shows with Cheap Trick and REO in the upper midwest.
