Foxconn reported to ink Sharp deal next week, pay smaller bailout



Japanese outlets, including the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, on Friday reported the two companies reached amicable acquisition terms after an unexpectedly drawn out negotiation process, according to Reuters. The same publications report Foxconn is set to offer 100 billion yen (about $884.4 million) for newly issued Sharp shares, down from an original 489 billion yen.

I guess it depends on how many Liams Apple makes and how many facilities they build to house them.

To achieve zero sum gain, they would have to have as many facilities for disassembly as for assembly, but Liam doesn't need lunch breaks, etc.

When the dollar strengthens, sales of iPhones abroad are worth less in American currency, hurting profits and, sooner or later, knocking down share prices.  When the dollar weakens, on the other hand, those overseas profits become more valuable.





This is very likely what the new Apple Store exterior in the Fashion Mall at Keystone is going to look like.

It will differ from the Memphis store design in that it will also open into the mall as well as the parking lot.

It's great seeing these two entities, Google Alphabet and Nest getting what they deserve, each other.

It sounds like buying Nest has been a total disaster for Google
